Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

InterviewGym ("we") provides AI-powered mock interviews with feedback scorecards. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have over it.

2. Data we collect

• Account: name, email address, and a hashed password.
• Profile: target role, industry, seniority, preferred language, optional CV file and parsed CV data (skills, experience, education), optional job description.
• Sessions: interview transcripts (your spoken answers, transcribed), per-answer timing, a mic-only audio recording of your answers (for replay in your feedback report), feedback reports, and an archive file of the timed transcript.
• Payments: checkout is processed by Polar; we receive your email and payment status, never your card details.

We store a recording of your microphone during the interview (your answers only — the interviewer's voice is not recorded) so you can replay your answers alongside your feedback report. Voice transcription happens in real time; the recording is kept with the session it belongs to and is deleted together with it (see Retention).

3. Sub-processors

• Convex — application database, file storage, and hosting (all data).
• Deepgram — speech recognition and voice for voice-only interviews (audio stream, interview context).
• HeyGen / LiveAvatar — avatar interviews (audio stream, interview context).
• Groq — CV parsing and feedback generation (CV text excerpts, transcripts).
• Polar — payments and receipts.

4. Retention

Your data is kept until you delete it. You can delete individual sessions from the dashboard, and your full account (profile, CV, all sessions) from Settings at any time. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

5. Your rights

Under GDPR (and similar laws) you have the right to access, rectify, export, and erase your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. You can exercise all of these yourself: export everything as JSON and delete your account in Settings. We do not sell personal data.
